The real rover was a weather balloon that was pulled by thin cables and a VW beetle.  Now a Swedish company has the idea of a baby rover.  As seen on engadget!

I just like the idea of this.  My daughter picked a good time to consider being a vegetarian.  It doesn't affect my behavior, but I do wonder what Mad Goat Disease will cause others to think about!

Knee surgery is scheduled for February 10th.  This is my third time for knee surgery: once in the 1980's when it was a relatively new procedure and once last year.  Folks have been awfully kind when they hear that I'm about to go under the knife, but it's really something I'm looking forward to!  It means, after a period of very brief recovery, my knee will be back "as good as it was six months ago."  Those words from my surgeon.

Better to get it done prior to trips to Argentina, Stockholm and Paris.

Just a short note to say that I have returned in a state of fustration.  More on this later, but the basic feature is that my MPX200, a very nice phone, simply failed during a phone call last night.  It wouldn't take a charge, it wouldn't reboot and it wouldn't start in any way.  A call to AT&T Wireless technical support leads to this remark -- call AT&T to find out what your product replacement options are.

Aaarrrgh!  I like my MPX200.  I don't want to replace it, but I have to have a working phone.
