Okay, this is fairly obscure, but if you take my birthday as a series of digits (MMDDYY) and look for them in the digits of PI you find them starting in the 21,503rd position after the decimal point.

Alright, Mark…I’m not sure if you remember me, but my name is Paul Hoffman and I took a NUMBER of Web classes from you at UW-Milwaukee. You may recall me as the guy who was a new teacher at Lakeshore Technical College who took all of your content and “re-purposed” (yes, I learned that phrase from you) it for my own classes. I wanted to see where you were these days and came across this blog. Not necessarily knowing if I had the right McFadden, I read your most recent blog posting about your birthday and where it ends up in Pi. I now know, absolutely without-a-doubt, I have the right guy. Hope all is well with you. Drop me a line sometime at paul@paulhoffman.net.
